OVERVIEW OF THE PROCEDURE FOR ONLINE EXAMINATIONS
1. The candidate needs to register online
2. An account and exam portal is created once the candidate is registered
3. After successful registration, the candidate must ensure that they login with their details specified during the online registration
4. Testing policies and procedures must then be read, understood agreed and accepted by the candidate – Failure to accept any of the required agreements will result in the forfeiture of the learners exam and exam fee.
5. The designated Computer/network that will be used for the exam must then undergo a system test to ensure that the minimum requirements for the exam is met
6. Photos of the exam work station and environment need to be taken, ensuring that there are no books posters charts etc within the examination workstation and environment
7. The Students ID and a phone must be within an arms reach from the student and not too far or too close to the PC being used for the exam.
8. Once the above criteria is met – The exam can then be scheduled according to the candidates requirements using the exam voucher provided
9. The candidate can thereafter logoff and return to the very same website on the day of the scheduled exam and re–login to commence the exam.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO BOOK AN ONLINE EXAM
Go to the following website : https://login.comptia.org/
Click “Sign Up Now” to register a new account
If you have already registered, your may then login by entering your email address and password that you created during the registration process
Click Schedule now to commence scheduling an examination
Enter all the required fields (note: our country code is +27)
Click Save Updates
Enter the name of your course or exam in the Field labeled Find and Exam and choose the correct examination from the dropdown list – click GO
Choose the Button in the centre Labelled “Online with Onview”
Under the :Your Computer” Icon, Click Run system Test
A new Window will open
1. Click Copy Access Code
2. Download Onview – Click the download Button
3, After the download is complete, run the downloaded file
Paste the access code that was copied in (1) above
Click Start Microphone Test and say a few words to test the mic of your computer
Click Speaker Test – music will be played and if you can hear it, click yes
Click Start Webcam Test to activate your webcam
Click Next to commence Network Test
(Should you get a firewall warnining – choose allow access)
Click Next to commence the download of the exam files
On Completeion of the download clcik Next
Click Test to ensure that there are no problems to disrupt or cause the exam to fail
Click Next to commence the Video Streaming Test -n If you can see yourself in the webcam , click yes and next
A simulation test will then be launched – follow the prompts on the screen to check if your exam will run perfectly.
Once done – you will be notified that you have passed all systems tests
Close the onvue window to go back to the very 1st windoww that you started on
Under the Testingf Space Icon = click Acceptable Spaces’ and read
Below Click Comfort and List – and read
When Done – Under the Icon you Photo ID – Click Admission and ID policies and read
Thetreafter – Under the what to expect icon, your must watch the shortr video
Click Next when Done
Choose your proffered Exam Language
Provide the extra information required by clicking Yes or No and click Next
Read and Agree to online exam and CompTIA Testing policies by ticking all the boxes provided and then click Agree
Specify what language you would prefer the proctor to communicate with u in
Confirm that your time zone is Africa/Johannesburg-SAST then click Yes that is right
Selectt the date and time of your exam
When you are satisfied with the chosen date and time you may click checkout at the bottom
Enter your exam voucher number
